    Perform long, mid, and short term scheduling across sales, manufacturing and purchasing in a single module.

    Traditionally production scheduling systems were often used in combination with the MRP module of an enteprise system. However, such a combination produces the following problems:

    1. An interface must be developed between the scheduler and MRP system
    2. The MRP system and scheduler require different master data
    3. MRP purchase plans are not synchronized with the work instructions calculated by the scheduler.
    4. Returning schedule data to the MRP system to achieve such synchronization is problematic for most MRP systems.

    Using Asprova APS alone fully solves these problems.

    Scheduling from sales through Purchasing

    Schedule sales through purchasing all at once. Generate schedules fully pegging sales orders to manufacturing orders, and manufacturing orders to purchasing orders to enable true lead-time reduction and to reduce manufactured item and purchased item inventory.

Asprova’s production scheduler provides numerous advanced features include external setup, time constraints between processes (ESE, EES, ESSEE, SSEEE), pegging method between operations (N-to-N, 1-to-1, inventory+1-to-1), inventory expiration date, pegging conditions.

    Why is Asprova SED developed?

    Is your factory still having trouble integrating production schedules made by multiple planners? This kind of work often takes long time, only to give no additional value to the products. It should be done easier and faster with IT technology. As much time as possible must be spent on manufacturing. This is why we developed “Asprova SED”.

    This module is specifically designed to help multiple production planners to modify the production schedule simultaneously. It makes it faster to create the whole production schedule in consideration with the production schedules made by the planners.

    Therefore, this SED is quite useful especially in a factory where planners try to consume resources at their own convenience, or where manufacturing efficiency is badly affected due to the scheduling.

    How to operate

    The whole plan is created with scheduling module (e.g. Asprova APS) based on the data of sales, inventory, purchase, etc.

    Each production planner uses Asprova SED to modify the schedule of production line in charge.
    Consistency is checked among the modified schedules and they are integrated into the whole plan.

    Details

    In the processes above, scheduling data is shared via Asprova DS (Data Server): module to manage Asprova data files in one place. Asprova DS enables users to share modified schedules.

    Graphical user interface

    Resource Gantt chart, order Gantt chart and dispatching view etc, can be referenced using the same windows as Asprova MS. (only display the schedule result, not be able to adjust or save schedule)

    Input results

    It’s possible to input results through Asprova MES. The results can be export to text files or databases (external data source), and connected to a system through external data source.

    When Asprova DS is used, the real time connection is possible through internet or LAN without a shared folder or database.

    Manage logins from PCs across network.

    Start up Asprova from any PC on the network. Project data can be shared via network connection, enabling users to view or modify data even from remote locations.

    * At least 1 APS, LS, MS or MRP license is required for each unit of planning (project).

    Asprova DS
    Integrates data among modules.

    Each user can work on their own computer while Asprova DS synchronize their modifications. In this way, the person in charge of long term scheduling can use Asprova LS, the person in charge of short term schduling can use Asprova MS, and the people in charge of managing manufacturing data can use Asprova BOM, while integrating the shared information as a single project.

    * Linking to ERP system is possible even without Asprova DS.
